HISTORY
Set up as a Business Developer in 1998, we have represented companies in Singapore, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, United States and Europe. We have participated in more than 70 trade fairs and, now, we have an operations centre in Brazil that imports or procures importers and distributors directly.
OUR MISSION
Compagnia dei Sapori is an Italian company that exports 100% made in Italy agri-food excellence: it was set up with the aim of selling high quality, excellent Italian products abroad, mainly in Brazil, China and the United States.
It aims to export products made by Italian companies that have an interest in implementing an internationalization process and selling their products on markets abroad. In Brazil, we have our subsidiary organisation, in place for performing all of these activities, while we collaborate with other importers for the Chinese and North American market.
Compagnia dei Sapori provides a safe channel for opening new markets, reduces the high costs of advertising abroad and enhances the image of the companies themselves. We look after the interests of client companies with meticulousness and attention and we are the only trusted interlocutor in the market of interest.
We build sales strategies abroad for Italian SMEs: over ten years of experience has allowed us to consolidate a solid expertise and respond to requests regarding exports for Italian companies in each category.

THE MARKET
Between January and June 2020 exports of Italian food reached 22.1 billion euros (+3.5% on an annual basis), equal to 11% of total exports of goods and services. The increase in exports of agri-food products is to a greater extent attributable to the food industry which accounts for 84% and which in the first half of 2020 showed an annual increase of 4% and, a little more modest, the result observed for the agricultural sector (+1,1%); moreover, direct exports to non-EU countries in the first half of the same year grew by 4.6% on an annual basis, reaching approximately 7.9 billion euros.
The USA, the third largest outlet market for Italian agri-food products, recorded a more contained increase and exports of fresh vegetables, such as peeled tomatoes and pulps, semolina pasta, bakery products, pastry and biscuits are growing considerably; exports of olive oil are also on the rise.
Exports of Italian food products to Brazil are also growing in, with a value of 103 million euros.
ORGANIC Made in Italy
Organic Made in Italy is also successful abroad and the United States is one of the most promising markets. Organic exports recorded very positive performances, even higher than those of agri-food exports.
In fact, in 2020, sales of Italian ORGANIC agri-food products on international markets reached 2.6 billion euros, or 8% more than in 2019. In fact, Italian exports of organic products increased by 149% compared to 2010 and, in 2019, 70% of dairy exports were organic.
